Sorry all for the radio darkness for the last 4 months. We have been very busy working on the next album, and likewise establishing a new back line for our live arrangement. Mode (formerly of Fashion Bomb, History of Violence) has joined forces with us to offer bad ass guitar to our live show, and likewise, Miles (Die Symphony, History of Violence) has joined our ranks playing live drums.
For a great deal of time DEFCON was resistant to establishing a more traditional back line, but after experimenting for a month or so in rehearsals, we locked it in. It not only sounds phenomenal, but adds a massive amount of energy to our already frantic live show.
We tested it out on October 14 at Darkroom, and it was massively successful. We’d like to thank Dave and WaxTrax2 records again for hosting the event.
We are likewise collaborating in the studio, developing and polishing tracks for our next album, FLAT BLACK PHILOSOPHY. It is coming along nicely, and although we have not set a goal for the release date… We are speculating around fall of ‘08. We have been testing a lot of our new material out at live shows… so if you want to hear what we are doing then keep an eye out on our myspace page for upcoming show dates. Stay tuned… things are happening.
